He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Allen and Pearl Allen (Klinker); his stepson Cecil Allen; and his siblings, Evan Allen, Paul Allen and Verdean Allen.

He is survived by: his stepchildren, Tom Pierce (Stephanie) of Ina, Christina Fuller of Mount Vernon, Jason Pierce of Bonnie, Rebecca Pierce of Mount Vernon, Ernest Allen (Ruth Ann) of Mount Vernon, Stephen Allen (Suzie) of Houston, Mickey Skelton (Ed) of Mount Vernon, Kenny Lomax of Opdyke and Diane Herman of Pekin, Illinois; and his siblings, Shirley VanWinkle of Elgin, Eddie Ray Allen (Dawn) of Dahlgren and Roger Allen (Dorothy) of McLeansboro, Illinois. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
