We are sad to announce that on April 13, 2020, at the age of 97, Leota Briggs (Bone Gap, Illinois), born in Edwards, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Ivan Briggs; her children, Ivan Leroy Briggs and Sandra Bell; her siblings, William Bailey and Anna Mae Hoffee; and her parents, Ina Mae and Carl Bailey.

She is survived by: her children, Marcella Goff (Delbert) of Boonville, IN and Dennis Briggs (Lucy) of Evansville, IN; her granddaughters, Teresa "Terri" Roseberry (Rick) of Kincaid, IL, Tiffany Kalka (Barrett) of Taylorville, IL and Bailey Roseberry of Taylorville; her great great grandchildren, Zachary and Colton Kalka; and her sisters, Fern Atwood of Fairfield, IL, Doris Burgener (Sheldon) of Olney, IL and Nancy Frevert (Frank) of Morton, IL..

Because of the federal and state mandates currently in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic, private services will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2020.
