It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Koertge Mewes of Bone Gap, Illinois, who passed away on February 9, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Mewes and Geneva Koertge Mewes; his son Larry; and his siblings, Joe and Nancy Wiley.
He is survived by: his wife June; his children, Susan (Randy), Chris Mewes (Carey) of Owensboro, KY and Brian Mewes (Jamie) of Albion; his grandchildren, Audrey Kocher (Wayne), Ashley Craig (Peter), Sarah Mitchell (Bryce), Nathan, Kyle, Blake, Katie and Logan Mewes; his great grandchildren, Riley, Brody Lynn, Harper and Millie Craig; and his brother Jerry Mewes. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
