He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Saathoff and Nelline Saathoff (Bright); his wife Debra Kay Phillips; his son Jason Jeffery Saathoff; his brothers, Ronald Saathoff and Richard Saathoff; and his parents-in-law, Pete and Rosie Phillips.

He is survived by: his sons, Jared Saathoff (Natalie) of Mebourne, FL and Luke Saathoff (Stephanie) of Bondville; his grandchildren, Taylor, Jared and Alexis Saathoff; his sisters, Alice Saathoff of Seymour and Connie Hall (Gary) of Monticello; and his parents-in-law, Kay Saathoff of Champaign and Steve Phillips (Ron) of Nashville, TN..
