He was predeceased by: his parents, William Earnest and Alice Jewel Pigg Shirley. He is survived by: his wife Susan Shirley; his children, Melinda Fuller (Casey), Kimmy Hayes (Greg), Amanda Shirley, Samantha Murdock (Randy), Brittany Adcock, George Shirley and Austin Grant Shirley; and his siblings, Alice Cagle (Danny), Virginia Thornton (David), Robert Shirley (Linda), William Shirley (Jennifer) and Milton Teer (Melissa). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
