She was predeceased by: her parents, Olive Mayer and George Mayer; her brother James Mayer; her sister-in-law Barbara Mayer; and her cousins, Ruth Hook and Norma Hook.

She is survived by: her daughter Laura A. Kompier (Robert Degenhart); her granddaughter Olivia K. Kompier (Sarosh Arunkumar); her great grandchildren, Amatullah, Salahudeen, Taymiyyah and Sayfudeen Arunkumar Dear; her nieces and nephews, Jamie Mayer and Betsy Mayer; and her cousins, Catherine Santee and Paul Hook.
