He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Burkett and Anna Burkett (Giovanazzi); his siblings, Ronald, Richard and Dolores; and his grandson Eric.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Burkett (Bracken); his children, James Burkett (Ruth), Greg Burkett (Donna), Debbi Schafer, Jeffrey Burkett (Sally) and Carrie Sullivan (Scott); and his former wife Sallie Skarda. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
