He was predeceased by: his brother Giovanni Alesi (Enza); and his father Domenico Alesi. He is survived by: his wife Donna M. Alesi; his children, Sarina Alesi (John Sherrod), Dominic Alesi (Shana) and Richard Alesi (Adriana); his grandchildren, Aaliyah, Alanni, Victoria, Liliana and Ruby; his siblings, Guiseppi Alesi (Lucia), Salavatore Alesi (Noreen), Paula Palazzolo (Pasquali) and Guiseppina Gorgis (Harmaz); and his mother-in-law Angela James (late Welton). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephew and cousins.
