She was predeceased by: her parent Lula Bizzell. She is survived by: her husband Timothy "Tim" Bowie of Wisner, Louisiana.; her children, Derek Meeks (Melanie) of Rocky Mount, NC, Vincent "Vince" Bowie of Des Moines, IA, Alondria "Tion" Bowie of Destrehan, LA and Carol Bowie-Cotton (Jerry) of Hahnville, LA; her grandchildren, Devin Cole, Sydney Meeks of Carez Josiah, Cotton, Jada Bowie-Coleman, Shelby Meeks, Kaden Bowie, Savion Meeks, Zoya Coleman, Jadion Cotton, Cameron Bowie and Maxwell Bowie; and her great grandchild Arleigh Richardson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Hope Baptist Church (509 E Briarcliff Rd, Bolingbrook, IL 60440). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
