She was predeceased by: her father Edward Alterson; and her grandparents, Claire Orphanos, Ann and Lew Alterson. She is survived by: her children, Jack Groll, Charlie Groll, Ivy Hinojosa and Eden Hinojosa; her stepchildren, Gianna Paukner, Kylie Hinojosa and Neveah Snyder; and her siblings, Daniel Mueller (Cathy), Connie Abels, Norman Mueller (Bonnie), Greg Alterson Michael Mueller (Bea), Brenda Jensen, Christina Alterson and Roberta Cross (Andy). She is also survived by her numerous family, friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Alleluia Lutheran Church (4055 Book Rd, Naperville, IL 60564). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
