He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Ackerman and Glada Ackerman (McLean); his spouse Shirley Meyer Ackerman; his siblings, William Ellis Ackerman, Ruby Hackman, Mildred Schmitz and Ralph Ackerman; his siblings-in-law, Joan Ackerman, Dunc Block, John Sandifer, Steve Royer, Barry Dixon and John Meyer; and his parents-in-law, Agnes and Eldon Meyer.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Baum (Bret) of Texico, Nancy Beth Germann (Jon) of Greenville and Marc Ackerman (Tiffani) of Greenville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Braden Baum, Michael Germann (Darien), Jessi Scoggins (Keith), Jacob Ackerman, Jordyn Ackerman, Jaidyn Ackerman, Joshua Ackerman and Jace Ackerman; his great grandchildren, Blake Scoggins, Carter Scoggins, Khloe Scoggins and Nolan Germann; his siblings, Shirley Block, Mable Sandifer, Carol Royer and Doris Hueter (Loren); his siblings-in-law, Ruth Dixon, Judy Papendorf (John), Cindy Braun (Brian), Sharon Brewer and Dennis Meyer (Susan); and his former wife Nancy Kapp. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
