She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Lyndel Muriel Shiels; her sons, Mike "Lenny" Shields (Sandi) of Hayden, Kevin Shields of Bluford and Brian Shields of Bluford, Illinois; her grandchildren, Joshua Shields (Mandy) of Fultondale, Brittini Roberts (Shane) of Warrior, Joshua Kennedy of Mount Olive, Delena Kennedy (Cece) and Jenise Kennedy of Hayden, Alabama; and her sister Florence Higgins of Clayton, Georgia. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
