He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Christa and Florence Miles Christa; his wife Lois I. Morgan; and his siblings, Beulah Jacobs, Ninnie Pearl Tate, James Christa, Virgil Christa and Eileen Garner.

He is survived by: his children, Larry Christa (Po Yong) of Plano, TX, Judy Cathey (Lyn) of Hot Springs, AR, June Acheson (Larry) of Plano, TX and James Christa (Christine) of Plano, TX; his grandchildren, Colista, Rusty, Bobby, Savannah, Elizabeth and Adam; his great grandchildren, Vincent, Victoria, Gabriel, Ariella and Zilla; and his sisters, Rena Derrick of Scottsboro, AL, Nina Tanner of South Pittsburg, TN and Lucille Sargent of Altona, IL..

Due to COVID, a private family service will be held.
