He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Artie Carter and Anna Marie Carter (Letner); his wife Judith Ann Humes; his son Spencer Allen Carter; and his sister Jean Canaday.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Tina Carter of Blue Mound, IL; his brother Ronald Carter of Trinity; and his pets, Janey, Taylor, Buddy and Lucky.
