It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hardy Pate Sr. of Blue Mound, Illinois, born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on April 20, 2021, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Pate and Wilma Pate (Whightsil); and his sister Catherine Pate. He is survived by: his granddaughter Bryanna; his wife Deborah K. Pate of Blue Mound, IL; his children, R. Hardy Pate, Jr. (Patti Rohman) of Mt. Zion, IL and Tracy Pate (John Charlton) of Blue Mound, IL; his grandchild Taylor Curtis; his great grandchild Alyzabeth Davis; his brothers, Bob Taylor of Tuscola, IL, Sam Pate (Phyllis) of Boody, IL, Gary Pate, Sr. (Maria) of Decatur, IL and Benjamin Leo Pate (Cheryl) of Oreana, IL; and his pet Brutus.
