The memory of Socorro Arenas N. of Blue Island, Illinois, who passed away on January 6, 2025 at the age of 78, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Miguel Arenas and Andrea Arenas; and her son Martin Ortiz. She is survived by: her daughters, Irene Beauchamp (Paul), Irma Montiel and Gloria Martinez (Rogelio); her grandchildren, Manuel Monarrez, Jose G. Ortiz, Lorena Ortiz, Evamaria Diaz, Jose G. Solis Jr. (Moose), Joshua Bucio and Yazmin I. Solis; her great grandchildren, Danilo, Niko and Hazel; and her siblings, Elvira, Francisca, Tomas and Maria.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
