He was predeceased by: his son John; and his sisters, Eleanor Bornhausen Goldenstern (late Robert) and Mildred Paska (late Donald). He is survived by: his brother Gerald "Jerry" John Vankus; his nephews, William Bornhausen, Victor Vankus (Phiffie), Donald Paska and David Paska; his niece Vanessa Warren (Steve); his great-nephew Joseph; and his great-niece Francesca Warren.
