It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Virgil Lee Malinowski of Bloomington, Illinois, who passed away on June 1, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Malinowski and Angie Malinowski (Urly); his daughter Candy Emery; his siblings, Margaret Nelson, Joyce Malinowski, Robert and Lyle Malinowski; and his great grandchild Lila Niezgoda.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Malinowski of Bloomington; his children, Cindy Gerike of Loveland, OH and Randy Malinowski (Donna) of Bloomington; his grandchildren, Jennifer Niezgoda (Ryan), Brad Gerike, Andy Malinowski, Katy Jo Moreland (John) and Christina Smith (Eric); his brothers, Milan "Bud" Malinowski of Bloomington, Donald Joe Malinowski (Judy) of Goodfield and James Malinowski (Aretta) of Bloomington; and his sister-in-law Patricia Malinowski of Georgetown, TX.. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington or Carle Cancer Institute in Normal.
