He was predeceased by: his father Fred Slayback; and his daughter Katie Byrd. He is survived by: his mother Roberta Altig Slayback of Normal, IL; his spouse Bobby Jo Adreon Byrd; his son William Byrd of Normal, IL; his grandchildren, Gavin, Motley and Levy Byrd of Normal, IL; his siblings, Ron Slayback (Luanne) of Heyworth, IL, Frank Slayback (Jackie) of Heyworth, IL, Harold "Ike" Barlow (Jamie) of Normal, IL, Patricia Wagner (Robert), Judy Quinton (Stuart) and Sara Goergen (John); and his sisters-in-law, Judy (Jack), Candy and Penny.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Calvert & Metzler Memorial (1115 E Washington St, Bloomington, IL 61701). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
The family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
