He was predeceased by: his wife Peg; his son Charles Shipley; his parents, Charles Shipley and Rose Knapp Shipley; and his sister Kay Hopkins.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Sawyer (Christopher), Christine Johnson (Randy), Patrick Shipley (Shelby) and Bill Shipley (Anita); his grandchild Wil Robinson (Rodney); his sister Rose Mary Coyle; and also, Mike Whalen, Anne Neal, Jane Lowry, Mary Jo Macomber, Tom Whalen, Datie Wynne and Theresa Stout.
In lieu of flowers, Bob requested donations be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
