We bid farewell to Robert Dean Stinde of Bloomington, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 30, 2025 at the age of 89. Robert Dean touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Stinde and Velda Cope Stinde; his siblings, Gene Stinde, Marvin Stinde, Leona Scarbrough and Betty White; and his brother-in-law Jerry Newberry.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara E. Newberry; his daughters, Kimberly Hintz (Mike) and Karen DeLong (Ron); his grandchildren, Justin A. DeLong (Kayla), Sarah Toepher (Vince) and Stephanie Haviley (Dave); his great grandchildren, Justin J. DeLong, Austin DeLong and Elliot Toepher; his siblings, Doreen Sparks and Wayne Stinde (Bev); and his siblings-in-law, Caroll Newberry (Nancy) and Marguerite Newberry. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the East Lawn Funeral Home (1102 Airport Rd, Bloomington, IL 61704). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Central Illinois or Ellsworth American Legion Post 1244.
