We are sad to announce that on April 29, 2023, at the age of 88, Parker L. Lawlis of Bloomington, Illinois, born in Pekin, Illinois passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Parker L. Lawlis to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Kirby Vincent Lawlis and Eleanor Lawlis (LaCharite) of Forest City, IL.; his stepmother Ferne Shanholtzer Lawlis; his siblings, Mary Lou Lawlis Gates and Kirby M. Lawlis; his sister-in-law Mary Anne Lawlis; his aunt Regina Huebschman; his brother-in-law Larry Morton; and his niece Joanne Lawlis Schulz.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Anne Morton of Bement, IL; his children, Julie Lynne Lawlis, Patrick Scott Lawlis, London, England and Mark Kirby Lawlis Lino (Melissa); his grandchildren, Grant Kirby and Kolton Michael Lawlis; his nieces and nephews, Wes Gates (Ellen), John Lawlis (Carol), Michael Lawlis, Tim Morton (Joda), Tyler Morton (Susan), Trish Hilbert (Mike), Sheila Monkarsh (Rick) and Lorey Morton; and his sister-in-law Sandra Morton Snyder (John). He is also survived by his wife, his family and/or his friends.

In lieu of flowers, Parker would be honored to have memorials directed to Midwest Food Bank, The Parker and Sharon Lawlis Endowed Scholarship Fund at Illinois State Foundation at ISU or serve a person in need in his honor. Illinois State University FoundationParker and Sharon Lawlis Endowed Scholarship Fund at Illinois State Foundation at ISU.
