He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Barkoviak and Gertrude Frankoviak Barkoviak. He is survived by: his wife Jean Walkenhorst; and his children, Dr. Jeff Barkoviak (Dustin), Jacqueline Barney (Dan), Lincoln, John Barkoviak (Bertie), Joseph Barkoviak (Beth) of Olathe, KS, Julie Sawyers (Bob) of Henderson, NV and Jennifer Beddow (Derrick Philips). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
