He is survived by: his parents, Marshall Howard and Deloris L. Howard of Bloomington; his siblings, Ruby Perez of Bloomington, Barbara Burch of Bloomington, Marilyn Tarver (Fredrick) of Gridley, David Howard (Barbara) of Bloomington and Danny Howard (Holly) of St. Robert, Missouri; his godsons, Cody Jackson and Kyle Bricker; his sister Marcia Thompkins; his close friend Leslie Perez Ochoa; and his friends, Howard Jackson and Dorian Dunson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Memorial contributions may be left to New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Bloomington or to the Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal.
