She was predeceased by: her parents, Jane Birtwell (Doig) and Galan Birtwell; and her husband Peter Couch. She is survived by: her sister Phyllis Walcott (Bill); her sister-in-law Lynda Hoornbeek (Lou); her children, Judy Scholhamer (GJ), Jane Miles (Mark), John Couch and Jeff Couch (Nancy); her grandchildren, Matt Couch (Pam), Steve Couch, Dan Couch, Jordy Scholhamer (Claire), Luke Scholhamer (Ashley), Brad Scholhamer (Jamie), Madeline Long (Evan), Claire Mackowiak (Eddie) and John Miles; and her great grandchildren, Kate, Ella, Emma, Wyatt, Linley and William.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Community Health Care Clinic of Normal or Home Sweet Home Ministries of Bloomington.
