He was predeceased by: his parents, Sadie Crawford and Joe Mitchell; his sister Annie Ruth Anderson; and his wife Nellie Jean. He is survived by: his daughters, Ruby Renee Mitchell, Deitra Hampton (Spanish) and LaShawn Taylor (Stepfhon). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
