He is survived by: his parents, Douglas C. Whitaker and Mary Patricia Gorman Whitaker; his siblings, Joseph Whitaker (Laura Borgula-Whitaker), Maggie Whitaker (Chris Martin) of Charlotte, NC and Patrick Whitaker (Jill); and his niece Mylie Lockwood. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins and his beloved dog.
