She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard E. Tipsord and Emma C. Harms Tipsord; her husband Richard L. "Dick" Simmons; and her siblings, Winston, Emery, Donald Tipsord, Gloria Kinzinger and Beverly Daniels Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Kara Roesch (Doug) of Bloomington and Kurt Simmons (Stephanie Hamilton) of Urbana; her grandchildren, Nick Roesch (Julie), Keri Deters (Paul), Samantha Harper (Michael) and Shelby Foran (Austin); her great grandchildren, Braden, Ben Roesch, Kamryn, Cecilia Deters and Maxwell Harper; and her sister-in-law Della Tipsord.
