We are sad to announce that on April 11, 2024, at the age of 86, Janet A. Monke of Bloomington, Illinois, born in Robinson, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert H. Marbry and Grace Marbry (Whitmer); her husband A. John Monke; and her brother Ed Marbry. She is survived by: her daughters, Jean Sweeney (Steve) of Champaign, Sue Griffin (Tony) of Jacksonville and Kathy Monke of Chicago; her grandsons, Andrew Sweeney (Liz) of Fitchburg, Jacob Sweeney (Abby) of Indianapolis, Tom Griffin of St. Louis, Jack Griffin of Chicago and Joe Griffin of Chicago; and her great grandchildren, Liam, Ellis and Evanne. She is also survived by family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to OSF Hospice or Illinois Cancer Care.
