He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Todd and Emma Todd (Remus); his siblings, Gladys Myers, Bernice Valentine, Helen Emmett, Violet, Kenneth, Don, Richard and Marilyn Cruze; and his son Mark Nichols.
He is survived by: his children, Laurelynn McClanahan (Russ), James Jr., Jimmer' (Nancy) of Heyworth, Amy Alexander (J. R.) and Jamie Zeller (Rich) of Bloomington; his grandchildren, Alex, James Alexander, Mitchell Todd and Zoe Zeller; and his friend Iron Skillet of Denny's Doughnuts.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northside Church of Christ or the Downs American Legion Post 1150.
