He was predeceased by: his father Ward Wellington; his son Jonathan Ward Edwards; his siblings, Twila "Kay", Virginia "Ginny", Erma "Jean" and Robert "Bobby"; and his son-in-law Tim Eastham.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Hamblin Bruning of Bloomington; his children, Amy Eastham (Dan Lush) of LeRoy, Cindy Boward (AJ) of Downs and Tom Bruning (Mariah) of Downs; his close friend Jim Hinegardner (Dee); and his siblings, George Edwards of Champaign, Hobart Edwards (Norma) of Mahomet and Cleta Dotson of Santa Maria, California.. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
