He was predeceased by: his parents, William Fowler and Eva Holt Fowler; and his siblings, Vivian, Dwight, Loren, Lewis, Wanda and Walt.

He is survived by: his wife Virginia Sumner Yount; his siblings, Charles Fowler (Pat) and Ruth Wedding; and his brother-in-law Walt Sumner (Shao Ping). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to OSF Hospice, Bloomington, IL.
