He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew S. Metz and Anna Metz (Obergfel); and his sister Margaret Hamilton. He is survived by: his wife Betty Metz of Bloomington; his sons, Scott A. Metz (Carol) of Blacksburg and Brian D. Metz (Linda) of Normal; his grandson Alex Metz (Bethany) of Martinsburg; his sons, Ryan Metz (Grace) of Ashburn, Virginia, Paige Metz of Carbondale and Austin Metz of Bloomington; and his sister Thelma Harms (Ed) of Forrest. He is also survived by his sons and grandchildren.
