It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gary Young (Bloomington, Illinois), who passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilford Young and Edith Young (Garrett); his siblings, Curtis Young and Carolyn Kaster; and his grandchildren, Raef Garrett Young and William Winn Young.
He is survived by: his wife Toni; his children, Wendy Dooley (Cole), Chad Young (Julie), Kara Appenzeller (Jeremy) and Reid; his grandchildren, Brooke Hamilton (Clayton), Bryce and Will Dooley; his children, Lily, Gabe, Haddi Young, Garrett, Grayson, Edie Appenzeller and Wyatt Young; and his great grandchild London Hamilton. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Second Presbyterian Church (404 N Prairie St, Bloomington, IL 61701). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
