Though Ernestine may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ernestine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Madison and Clara Madison; and her husband John Jeakins. She is survived by: her children, Steve (Deb), Jeff (Diane), Tim (Kathryn), Mike, Laurie Ostrowski (Steve) and Sharon Anderson (Bill).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (106 W Chestnut St, Bloomington, IL 61701). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Church, OSF Hospice or the Humane Society of Central Illinois.
