Donald R. Armstrong Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald R. Armstrong of Bloomington, Illinois, who passed away on January 16, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Armstrong and Alice Armstrong (Thompson). He is survived by: his wife Grethe Bichel; his children, Britta Armstrong-Mitchell (Bruce Mitchell) of Bloomington and Grant Armstrong (Amy) of Edwardsville; his grandchildren, Brennan, Lilli, Peter and Theo; his brother Richard Armstrong (Charlotte) of Scottsdale, AZ; and his cousin Don.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calvary United Methodist Church (1700 N Towanda Ave, Normal, IL 61761). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or Calvary United Methodist Church.
