He was predeceased by: his parents, Rex Mikel and Dorothy Gretter Mikel; and his sons, David and John Patrick. He is survived by: his wife Rita Killian; his son Mark (Mary); his grandchildren, Andrew (Halle), Patrick Mikel, Zachary, Ethan, Zoe and Mia Mikel; his siblings, Chloe Misch (Harold) and Guy Mikel (Beatriz); and his brother-in-law John Killian (Stacie). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
