It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol E. Hobson of Bloomington, Illinois, who passed away on December 18, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolph Mielenz and Ruth Clesson; her husband Bill Hobson; her son Larry Hobson; and her sisters, Dorothy Johnson, Betty Ogg and Marietta McGuire.
She is survived by: her brother James Mielenz of Bloomington; her children, Sue Greiner (Dan) of Hudson and Jeff Hobson of Bloomington; her grandchildren, Kristi Curry, Trisha Pearl (Corey) of Bloomington and Joe Hobson (Shannon) of Oregon, Wisconsin; her great grandchildren, Samantha Walden (Tevin) of Bloomington, Aynslee Curry of Bloomington, Nathan Leininger of Bloomington, Peyton Curry of Bloomington, Trey Curry of Bloomington, Mia Leininger of Bloomington, Alex of Wisconsin and Trevor Hobson of Wisconsin; and her great great grandchild Kellan Walden of Bloomington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be left to Wishbone Canine Rescue, where Carol rescued her beloved dog, Lillian.
