He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Junior Anthony and Mildred Riggs Maurer; his wife Mary Ellen Lannie; his brother Robert Maurer (Bonnie) of Highland, IL; and his son Patrick Maurer of Highland, IL.. He was also cherished by eight nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews from Mary's family and his furry companions.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.
