She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Kozlowski and Stella Kozlowski; her husband Edward J. Schmitt; her daughter Sandra Romeo (Joseph); and her siblings, Barbara Retzke (Kozlowski) and Roger Ryan.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Zinn (Mike), Edward Schmitt (Cindy), Diane Passaglia (Rick), Steven Schmitt (Karen) and Michael Schmitt (Tania). She is also survived by Grandchildren and thirteen Great-Grandchildren.
In remembrance of Virginia Schmitt's life, the family asks that in lieu of flowers charitable donations are, made to the Alzheimer Association or American Cancer Society.
