With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Paul Gilbert Cassisy of Bloomingdale, Illinois, born in Elmhurst, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 15, 2024 at the age of 95. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cassidy and Vivian Cassidy; his wife Dolores R. Cassidy of Alexander's Catholic Church; and his sisters, MaryAnn Mann and Ruth Webster.
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Holmberg (Kevin), Beth Schramm (Tom), Lauren Cassidy (Steve Anderson) and Jennifer Davis (Laurent); his grandchildren, Danielle, Jessica, Alex, Emily, Kirsten, Rachael, Olivia, Nolan, Hannah and Braden; and his great grandchildren, Connor, Luna, Lillian and Elliana.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Petronille Catholic Church (420 Glenwood Ave, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Following his military service, Paul attended Belleville and Scholasticate Seminaries receiving his Baccalaureate in Theology and Divinity, which furthered his deep sense of charity and compassion.
