He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald DeWitt and Jane Crum DeWitt; his son Michael DeWitt; and his sister Diane Lashbrook. He is survived by: his son Tyler DeWitt (Kobi) of Blandinsville; his grandchildren, Logan Martin, Skyler Martin, Emily Martin, Wyatt Martin and Shyann DeWitt; his brother Albert DeWitt (Michelle); and his mother-in-law Carol Reed of Blandinsville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Elms Nursing Home or Blandinsville-Hire Rescue Squad.
