He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Badord and Clara Heiger Badord; and his sister Dorothy Newberry. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Carey; his daughters, Michele Shannon of St. Charles and Laura Huff of Bloomington; his grandchildren, Nathan Shannon, Nolan Shannon, Danielle Yentes (Tyler) and Amanda Strantz (Steven); his great grandchildren, Emma Yentes, Rylee Yentes and Olivia Strantz; and his niece Gail Miller (Dale).
The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Catholic Charities.
