He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph Dunavan and Ellen Dunavan (Story); and his brother Don Dunavan. He is survived by : his wife Katy Stockard; his sons, Kevin Dunavan of Danville and Darren Dunavan (Joanne) of Toccoa, Georgia; his sister Mary Jo McDonald; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Peter and Leah Dunavan.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 9th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center (3940 N Vermilion St, Danville, IL 61834). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 9th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
