He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Simmons and Lois B. Simmons (Welch); and his sisters, Ella Milligan and Beatrice Day. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Simmons of Biggsville; his children, Derek Simmons (Tina) and Michele Newberger (Jim); his grandchildren, Melanie Haluptzok (Parker), Allison McGrath (Collin), Susan Swanson (Ryan) and Dan Simmons of Roseville, IL; his great grandchildren, Dahlia and Lily Haluptzok; and his sister Jane Mahr (Bob). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
