She was predeceased by: her parent Marquita Gillis (Palar); her sons, Anthony "Tony" Gallegos of Burlington and Tharon Charles Gillis; her grandchildren, Kaylee Priscilla Cooper, Aiden Scott Brown, Myra Brown and Jaxson Brown; her brother Lonnie Gillis; and her stepsister Regina Neft.
She is survived by: her father George Gillis; her husband Scott Brown of Biggsville; her children, Raymundo Jose Gallegos of Burlington, Danielle Esperanza Gallegos of Burlington, Kendra Marie Torres of Burlington and Elizabeth Ann Allen of West Burlington; her grandchildren, Keisha, Jada, Ramon, Annissa, Cali-Ray, Carmen, Lillian, Alexander and Sophi; her great grandchildren, Shariah, Devon Jr., Zechariah and Zaharah; and her siblings, Chuck Gillis, Rick Gillis, Lori Peterman and Estella Ritchie. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society.
