He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sr. Carey and Angela Carey (Kammes); his son Michael Carey; and his brothers, George Carey and Charles Carey.
He is survived by: his wife Angela (Flood); his stepdaughter Nicole Enverga (Cesaer Michael); his brother-in-law Leonard Flood (David Olsen); his daughter Deborah Webb; his siblings, David Carey (Laura Lindoo) and Susan Ayers (Richard); and his granddaughters, Carrie Webb and Sarah Root (Ryan). He is also survived by several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his memory to Alzheimer's Association.
