She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Gilbert and Lela Gilbert (Gard); her husband James Charles Rose; her daughters, Shelly Rose Johnson and Rebecca Rose; and her siblings, Kevin Gilbert, Eunice Pulley and Genene Colpetzer.
She is survived by: her sons, Lawrence Rose (Susan) of Bethany and James Rose, Jr. (Evelyn) of Wabash; and her sisters, Lora Gilbert Gamble (Mike) of Andrews, Sharon Gilbert McClese of Andrews and Iris Ann Gilbert White of Valparaiso. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 44 great grandchildren.
