We are sad to announce that on September 25, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Susan Katherine Shain of Bethany, Illinois, born in Elmhurst, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Dekan and Katherine Dekan (Baumbach); and her spouse Russell E. "Smiley" Shain. She is survived by: her children, William Shain (Carol) of Sullivan, Steven Shain of Champaign, Bobby Garcia (Kim) of Litchfield and Gayla Jones (Mark) of Shelbyville; and her sister Vicki Kniceley (Bob) of Wheaton. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in care of the family or to the Bethany United Methodist Church.
