It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Arthur Reed Wehrle of Bethany, Illinois, born in Ramsey, Illinois, who passed away on August 13, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Juanita Frailey and Welling Wehrle; and his brother Joe Wehrle. He is survived by: his sisters, Marilyn Dick (Glen) of Hammond, Sharon Woodham (Jim) of Mt. Zion and Janet Green of Decatur; his children, Vicki Bell of Decatur, Ronna Stolte of Strawberry Plains, TN, Kolbi Templin (Dave Cox) of Decatur, Matthew Wehrle of Sullivan and Aaron Wehrle (Michelle) of Normal; and his grandchildren, Hannah, Layla, Abby, Joseph, Wyatt and Owen.
But to those that knew him, he was a man with a warm, generous heart who made regular donations to St. Jude, and helped anyone he could.
